With over 25 years of experience in international development, global partnership management, and human rights, I specialize in bridging the gap between grassroots activism and high-level global diplomacy, resource mobilization, and multi-stakeholder partnership management.My leadership is defined by:1. Institutional Transformation: As the former Executive Director of the International Disability Alliance, I oversaw a 900% increase in financial resources, raising $79 million and leading a team across 16 countries.2. Strategic Global Architecture: I am the lead architect of the Global Disability Summit and the GLAD donor coordination mechanism, both tasked with promoting inclusive development and the humanitarian global agenda.3. High-Stakes Diplomacy: I have had the privilege of coordinating representation for 1.2 billion people with disabilities across 15+ global platforms. I have led advocacy and negotiations towards the inclusive 2030 Agenda and the "Leave No One Behind" principle, as well as towards landmark frameworks such as the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy, the Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action, and UN Security Council Resolution 2475. Therefore, I have extensive experience across all pillars: development, humanitarian, and peace and security.4. Strategic Partnerships: Currently, I serve as the Strategic Partnership Advisor for Sightsavers and CBM, managing the collaboration between two of the world’s largest INGOs in disability rights and inclusive eye health, with a combined reach in 40+ countries.While my foundation is built on advocacy and human rights, I believe the future of the non-profit sector lies in operational excellence. I am a proponent of integrating AI-driven workflows and data analytics into international development to optimize resource mobilization and strategic foresight.My journey began in the war-torn former Yugoslavia, where I founded grassroots youth movements in conflict zones. This lived experience remains the core of my work today.
