About Vladimir Popok

I have MSc and PhD degrees in physics/materials science. During the time being working at different institutions in several European countries I have developed wide experimental experience coupled to deep theoretical knowledge as well as strong competences in R&D project leading and management. The areas of expertise cover engineering of materials for electronics including reliability, ion beam technologies, fabrication of nanoscale materials and thin films, technologies for enhanced sensing (including bio- and medical areas) as well as for renewable energy generation and green transition. I have practical skills in a number of characterization and test methods. I have developed a wide international network and deep experience in industrial collaborative projects/activities. I published 140 peer-reviewed articles, several books and book chapters as well as contributed with talks to a number of conferences. Teaching and training experience covers courses, seminars, laboratories and project supervision at bachelor, master and PhD levels. I also have considerable expertise in educational management/administration. My competences allow me to contribute into- synthesis and characterization of materials- systematic data analysis and evaluation of results- development of new technological/methodological approaches and innovations- project management, coordination of R&D activities and strategy development- teaching, training and supervision- scientific writing, reviewing, editing and evaluation.
