About Volkan Avsar

My name is Volkan, and I have over 17 years of experience working in various IT departments across multiple companies. Throughout my career, I have held roles such as System Administrator, Project Manager, and Technical Support Engineer, supporting highly demanding environments and responding to user requests quickly and efficiently. Over the years, I have also gained additional skills, including ERP management, SQL database administration, and basic development experience in Visual Studio using.NET. I am currently working at the Fortinet office in Prague, providing technical assistance to global customers for FortiClient and EMS. These applications include features such as Malware Protection, VPN, ZTNA, and more—requiring strong networking knowledge and advanced problem-solving capabilities. In addition, I am part of the Management Services team, assisting customers with initial configurations. In my personal life, I enjoy swimming and reading, especially fiction and historical books. I also spend time experimenting in my home lab, simulating scenarios such as VPN setups, ZTNA, Entra ID SAML authentication, and virtual server management. IT has been a major part of my life, and I continue to approach it with the same enthusiasm I had in my first year in the profession.
