About Vonesha Simon

Served 6 years in the U.S. Navy as a Persian-Farsi linguist while holding collateral duties including personnel administration, departmental training, and divisional safety. I spent time as a help desk analyst for SAIC in Augusta, GA before working in building access control for a secure facility on Fort Gordon. I relocated to Texas in 2022 where I gained employment with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Board of Pardons and Paroles. While employed as a program supervisor, I managed my own staff under the grant program for victims of human trafficking and domestic violence in processing clemency applications for Board and Governor review. I have gathered a plethora of skills and certifications throughout my wide range of experience, to include: office administration, leadership, communication, peer mediation, mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite, CompTIA Security+, and elite problem-solving capabilities. Regarding education, I have an AA in Persian-Farsi, a BA in Philosophy, and a MS in Forensic Psychology. I am a self-starter and a go-getter. I work diligently and strive to be great at everything I do. What I lack in industry experience, I make up for in tenacity and a great willingness to learn.
