About Vuokko Lantz

I am an experienced R&D manager with a versatile skill set who can ensure that projects are carried out successfully and are delivering as planned. I have been responsible of several R&D projects creating innovative device products and UI concepts based on new interaction, sensor and material technologies. These concepts have been realized as commercial products and functional SW & HW prototypes. The projects have lead into numerous filed patent applications and granted patents. My responsibilities in the R&D projects have been extensive: project planning, arranging in-house and public funding, building multidisciplinary project teams and partner networks, contracting, technical and financial project management, and IP creation and protection, and reporting and communicating the results. Usually, I have also contributed to the R&D work as a technical expert. In my work history, I have had several different roles: product manager. researcher, R&D engineer, R&D team leader, project manager, and PhD thesis and university course supervisor. I am a curious person and have an ever optimistic, analytical and task-oriented approach to work and life in general. I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone to learn new things about nature, technology, business, and people. Thus, I can cope very well with changes. I am highly self-motivated, persistent and transparent with my visions and goals. As a person, I am easy to approach and to get along with, can communicate well and can build a good team rapport with a shared sense of purpose. I value diversity in people and life and thus truly enjoy working with international teams of mixed skills and backgrounds.
