Background

About Vuokko Viljanen

I’m an innovative HR Specialist currently leading the procurement and implementation of a new HR system – a role that brings together my experience in HR, system development and cross-functional collaboration. My responsibilities also include recruitment, overseeing the employment lifecycle and payroll, managing onboarding processes and tools, and serving as the organizational admin for several HR platforms.I tend to naturally view things from multiple perspectives, which helps me improve processes and fuels my motivation to efficiently translate ideas into action. My background in education and music adds creativity and pedagogical thinking to my work in a unique way, enriching my approach to HR. In addition, my experience as a supervisor has given me hands-on insight into leadership and people management, which still guides my approach today.Empathy, communication, and solution-focused thinking are my strengths in all situations. I believe that a healthy organizational culture is built on trust, openness, respect and collaboration. I value an open and inclusive culture where people feel heard and well-being is a shared priority. I’m proud to contribute to that culture, and thrilled that HSL was recently recognized as one of Finland's top ten workplaces in our size category by Great Place To Work.I’m genuinely committed to enhancing the employee experience and helping to build a culture where people thrive – because when we build a supportive environment together, everything is possible.
