About Vy N.

The idea that medicine is not simply a list of symptoms did not cross my mind until I was immersed in experiences that broadened my understanding of healthcare. As an ambitious recent graduate, I am eager to have the opportunity to work in healthcare with diverse individuals and communities. With a strong background in community-based research and extensive knowledge on how inequities shape health outcomes, I am motivated to address the barriers that prevent individuals from receiving quality healthcare. Through my experiences, I am compelled to become an advocate for patients and to provide culturally-responsive care to underrepresented and vulnerable communities. By recognizing the role of the social determinants of health, I strive to empower individuals and communities holistically through a public health lens in addition to a clinical lens.
