About Vyjayanthi Raghavan

For many of you who don't know me personally, I am an experienced professional, with advanced skills in organization, human resource coordination, problem solving and time management. A passionate communicator and a competent individual with a strong work ethic as well as having a keen desire to learn new tasks and grow with my valued transitional assets and contribute to an international and/or local brand in the field of Human Resources. Having a background in Arts and Law helped me understand in-depth (through volunteer work, internships and work experience) about how important the field of human resources is, and how well I could use my transitional skills in this field. A creative problem solver and a big thinker who values human resource planning and genuine employee satisfaction. Understanding the societal dynamics to further my other values skills in HR has been an ongoing journey and I wish to direct this in being an ambassador of change, innovative profitable solutions, talent identification, include diversity, bridge the competency gap through a creation of an individual development plan to the business and achieve an ambitious growth plan. During an opportunity with King's College, London, UK, where I focused on Criminal Justice and International Human Rights, I returned to India and shifted into Operations Management and Recruiting and got promoted after showcasing good performance. Baking desserts is one of my natural passions and in 2016 I dove into the world of home-based entrepreneurship and established my own business as a dessert baker which I continued after relocating to Canada in 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 lock-down. I solely managed and set up individual dessert stalls in different locations in the UK, India and Canada and I handled the A-To-Z logistics, including data entry, accounting, and operations. With a dire thirst of getting knowledge, I keep up to date with the latest HR developments in the field and study courses regularly.
