About Waddell Derek

I am a water conservation expert with over 30 years of experience, helping property owners and managers dramatically reduce their water bills and it all happened by accident. In 1992, I had a good job but not such a great boss, I knew at that time I needed a change. My boss sent me to a business luncheon to meet building owners. I talked to a building owner that complained about the high cost of water and no one was able to help him reduce his bills. I thought this is crazy. I investigated the water conservation landscape in 1992 and it was basically nonexistent. Then I got really lucky and have I have been forever grateful. I then met an engineer that was a world-renowned infrastructure and water conservation expert. He had just recently emigrated here from a poor country where water conservation is a national issue. I hired him and he trained me in water conservation. Since then, we have had great success helping our customers reduce their water costs and improve their Net Operating Income. Now we have expanded into building flood prevention, helping our customer reduce their insurance costs and prevent flood damage. Our service offering has expanded but our focus is the same, helping our customer make their business better.
