B.A.Sc (Chemical Engineering, 1991), University of British Columbia Professional Engineer (APEGA) Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta (4th year Chemical Engineering) 34 years of experience in the biomass processing industries- Four years of process engineering experience with the mechanical pulping industry, including one greenfield pulp mill startup- Four years of sales and technical support experience in mechanical pulping, chemical pulping and medium density fibreboard production, including eight battery limits startups in Canada and South Korea (MDF refining, pressure screening, mechanical pulp bleaching, sludge dewatering)- 15 years of R&D experience in processing wood and agricultural fibres for the pulp and paper, composite materials and biochemicals industries, including process design, pilot plant engineering and startup, R&D project management, program management, product development and customer service- 11 years as president of Techfibre Industries, an Alberta-based consultancy specializing in early stage process engineering design, product development, R&D management, and process troubleshooting- Co-founder and current Chief Technical Officer of Plantae Technologies Inc.
