As Fire Chief at the Mississippi Air National Guard, I lead with a steadfast commitment to operational excellence and safety, leveraging my extensive expertise in emergency response, organizational development, and knowledge of the Air Force Fire & Emergency Services program. In this capacity, I oversee the Fire and Emergency Services program for 39 firefighters, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel through rigorous risk management protocols and adherence to safety standards. As a Firefighter/EMT with the Department of Defense, I developed a comprehensive skill set in safety, emergency response, and rescue operations, with a strong emphasis on firefighter safety. My dedication to maintaining and enforcing stringent safety standards has been integral to our unit’s operational readiness and its capacity to protect both personnel and assets while minimizing risks in dynamic and high-pressure environments. In my previous role as Safety Manager and Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, I played a key role in achieving the Brock Services “Small Worksite of the Year” recognition and maintaining an exemplary safety record with three consecutive years of OSHA recordable-free operations. This success was driven by my commitment to implementing robust safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
