About Wade Smith

I am a seasoned leader. I taught, coached and mentored young men and women through difficult situations. Under my guidance, they not only better themselves, but improved upon the organization as a whole. My last assignment, I served as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant in Korea and was responsible for the care and wellbeing of 82 young Soldiers over the course of my tour. I don’t avoid problems, I anticipate and make contingency plans for them. I am a realist with a keen sense of breaking down issues into their basic components and fixing them. In my 22 years of service in the Army, I have never failed a mission given to me. I am the guy that can find the “yes” for the most difficult problems. I am loyal to the core. I appreciate the benefits of belonging to a great organization. I also understand and value the privilege of motivating and leading others to accomplish complex projects. I do not take my charge lightly, and apply my full efforts in everything I do, big or small. I believe taking shortcuts just leads to failure faster. Safety has been engrained in me from an early age. For the five years I served as an Observer / Controller Trainer for the Army I have never allowed unsafe actions go unchallenged. I believe understanding and enforcing an Organization’s policies and procedures leads to success in a safe manner.
