About Waleed Bouruki

A happy accident led me into the tech world—during my undergraduate studies, I mistakenly enrolled in a programming class, which shifted my path from a chemical engineer to a computer engineer. That so-called 'mistake' opened the door to a career in tech, and almost 10 years later, I’m still just as excited about the industry. As a business developer and cybersecurity consultant with nearly a decade of experience in cybersecurity, IT, and education, I’ve led teams to develop, deliver, and sell award-winning cybersecurity services and training programs. These initiatives have trained over people in person and nearly online, with one of our flagship products being acquired for over $5M. I also co-launched an app that uses gamification to raise cybersecurity awareness and designed several "Cybersecurity Journeys" to help clients establish and maintain strong cybersecurity cultures. Outside of cybersecurity, I’ve co-founded three tech-driven startups in the F&B, fitness, and mobile gaming industries. These ventures have given me invaluable insights into building and managing startups, products, and teams across various sectors. My commitment to growth and innovation in the tech sector remains just as strong since my happy accident—I’m always looking to explore new opportunities and ideas.
