About Walid Alsadi

As a chemical engineer with a bachelor's degree from Qatar University (QU), I am passionate about applying my optimization and C++ skills to solve real-world problems in the industrial sector. I have a strong educational background in chemical engineering principles and their applications, as well as a keen interest in modern technologies such as reverse osmosis, MSF, and efficient power generation. During my month-long internship at Umm Al Houl Power Plant, I gained hands-on experience in working with different departments, engineers, and operators, and learned how to operate and maintain a fully upgraded plant that produces water and electricity. Additionally, I was part of a senior design project team that developed an innovative concept for producing higher olefins using less intensive energy, which involved improving an existing facility and creating power, hydrogen, and fuel from the separation block. This project demonstrated my ability to work collaboratively, creatively, and analytically on a significant and potentially revolutionary project. I am eager to begin a fruitful career in the chemical engineering field, where I can contribute to the development and improvement of industrial processes and products, and make a positive impact on the environment and society. I am motivated by challenges, opportunities, and learning, and I am always ready to put my skills, knowledge, and fresh perspectives to use.
