About Walter Roush

My journey in electrical work began in November 2014 at a company named "Team Fishel". I was an under ground worker for about a year gaining experience and making lasting connections. During my time in this position I was contracted through Duke Energy. Some of the tasks I preformed consisted of: new construction of subdivision power, and reconstruction of underground power on I4. In those subdivisions I helped install the primary and secondary wires, set pad mount transformers, made up transformers, and set underground secondary pedestals. In the I4 project I helped set splice boxes, pull in new wire, and make up splices for underground primary wire. In December of 2015 I decided to make the move to Pike Corporation to work on overhead power instead of underground. My main goal since I graduated high school 3 years ago has been to work on overhead power and I have achieved that and also got one year of underground experience under my belt. I have been at Pike Corp. for a year and three months now, and some of the tasks I performed in junction with my crew during the first 11 months through the SECO system included: pole change out, and rebuilding of three phase power lines. My last four months have been spent contracting through OUC Utilities, some of the tasks I preform daily are: underground pad mount transformer change out, trouble work, backlot pole change out, and a rebuild/ re-conduct job. I love this profession and it would be a privilege to continue my education in line work at your company. Thank you for your time.
