About Walter Tom

Leader in the early adaptatioin of emerging cosmetic medical/surgical technology with an interest in market introduction, in public speaking and market demographic influences. Leadership ability in creating positive personal relationships in the business environment. Dr. Walter Tom is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. Dr. Tom has practiced cosmetic medicine and surgery for 19 years. He has affiliations as a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (Body and Extremity) and Diplomate of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Tom retired from general surgery as a now past diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Other affiliations include being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Past Member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and member of the American College of Phlebology. Dr. Tom graduated from the University of Michigan and then attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his General and Vascular Surgical Residency at William Beaumont Hospital and his Organ Transplant Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Walter Tom has been the pioneer of emerging technology in the North Bay for over two decades. He co-founded the Kidney Transplant program at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital as Chief Surgeon in 1986. Then in the early nineties, he helped established laparoscopic minimally invasive abdominal surgery as a mainstay in Sonoma County. Dr. Tom created the Aesthetic Laser & Vein Center of the North Bay. In 2004 he expanded his cosmetic outreach be creating the Aesthetic Laser & Vein Center of Napa. In 2017 Dr. Tom created Maui Cosmetic Surgery, Kahului, HI
