About Walter Voight

As a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) with over 25 years of law enforcement, intelligence, and military experience, I have spent the majority of my career investigating national security threats and executing operations designed to disrupt and/or dismantle them. For the past 10 years, I have been managing national security projects and programs at the headquarters level, blending my investigative and operational experience with proven business processes such as risk assessment and mitigation, team building, and technology integration. More specifically, my experience is in Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, and Counterproliferation program management; however, I have participated in many high-visibility criminal cases and protective operations as a member of the Underwater Search and Evidence Recovery Team. More recently though, I received an advanced degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from George Washington University and decided to focus my attention on the integration of emerging technologies into the FBI’s digital landscape. This seems to be a successful algorithm as the Bureau is rapidly embracing technology to automate systems, eliminate redundant processes, and improve their investigative capabilities. My areas of expertise include: Project management, program management, team building, human networking, intelligence collection, information assurance, strategic outreach, technology integration, risk assessment, insider threat mitigation, counterintelligence and counterproliferation investigations, supply chain management, and underwater evidence collection.
