Walter Wardrop currently works (in his third year) as a Business Operations Consultant for Bristol Myers Sqibb, after retiring from Pfizer in 2019, after 42 years in the industry. His final role in Pfizer [prior to retiring] was as the Global Director of Transformation, Innovation and Colleague Recognition for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, a role he held for more than 10 years. He was responsible for developing the global Transformation Strategy and providing tactical support for Consumer Healthcare Products Manufacturing sites in North America, Europe and the Asia Pac region, as well as External Supply sites and Corporate functions. He developed and led the global Transformation “Community of Practice” team, branded as "The Transformers” - a cross-site team of Operational Excellence experts focused on driving Replication, Continuous Improvement, Knowledge-sharing, Capability Building and Cost Savings across the network. He also led the Consumer Site Innovation Coach “Community of Practice” branded as "The Rocketeers,” that drove Innovation training and tactical support (workshops, leading projects, etc.) across the network. Previously, he had been the Director of Consumer Healthcare in Pearl River, New York, responsible for Planning & Schedule, Manufacturing and Packaging Operations [for Oral Solid Dosage tablets], as well as the Director of Strategy and Operational Excellence for the Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities organizations.
