Being a educator is not just a title one gets to carry with them throughout the work day, but a mentality they must carry with them through life. I take this philosophy with me in every facet of life as you may or may not be an educator by trade, everyone and everything may be educated and enlightened. You have valuable knowledge that others may have shared with you, but only you possess and can share with the next generation and those around you. Everyone has a story, and every story should be told. In my current role, I am an Evidence Custodian for the City of Huntsville, AL. What I especially love about the role is just what I mentioned above. Everyone has a story and every thing has a legacy. When I receive property, every single time I think,"What could this item say?" Whether it is a bicycle or firearm or door frame (yes just ask me) everything has a story. I thoroughly enjoy asking people where they come from and where they are going when they pick up their property and they always love to share little stories of where they have been and what they have learned.
