About Wanda Newman

I have set the bench as a Municipal Court Judge and an Alternate Municipal Court Judge for twenty years. Law is my true passion, especially in cases that involve children. I strive to insure that the best possible outcome for their benefit is obtained whenever possible. As a Municipal Judge cases range from DUI, No Insurance, Domestic Violence, shoplifting, speeding to minor crimes. I enjoy helping people to succeed, helping them realize how much potential they really have and to build their confidence. I have worked with people with criminal issues, drug issues, domestic violence issues and homeless issues. I work with the businesses in Lincoln County to help them find employees that meet their skill set and are a good match for their companies. I have worked with companies to employ people with various past issues and people with disabilities. I have thirty years as a Domestic Violence advocate and working with victims of crimes. They have been victims of various crimes from physical abuse, rape, suicide, and child custody issues. I have attended court with the victims and help them apply for financial help threw Victim's Compensation and various other available resources. I worked pipeline construction for may years and gained a large amount knowledge in various areas. I done all the job cost spread sheets, payroll, accounts payable and recieveable, union reports, government reports, and state reports. I can read blueprints and schematics. I have worked in the field as well as a welder helper, a pipe-fitter helper, and in the tool trailer. I enjoy my job with the State of Wyoming as it allows me the opportunity to help people in various ways. The best reward we get is seeing someone succeed at getting a job, getting their G.E.D, or learning new skills. I am going into my fifteenth year and it never gets old.
