About Wanda Sanchez

I was born in Puerto Rico and twenty-eight years ago I relocated from my home in Puerto Rico to Boston MA with my family. Unfamiliar with the language and culture of the United States I enrolled in school and gained an education and experience that enabled me to work as a Patient Coordinator at Tufts Medical Center for 6 years. Then we got tired of the snow and the cold and decided to move to Florida. I have been working as a School Administrative Assistant for over 13 years. I'm a very strong believer that good customer service can take you places. I have enjoyed many positions throughout my career in the school district: Dual Enrollment coordinator, ESOL specialist, Photoshop teacher, Chemistry lab facilitator, Student records clerk, attendance secretary, bookkeeping, and grant manager. I also worked at the school district as an FTE Specialist. I believe that every day brings a new lesson, which is why we never stop learning. I love taking on new challenges and the biggest challenge is to do my best at anything I decide to do. My hobby is traveling. Three years ago I walked the "Camino de Santiago" in Spain for 10 days as a solo traveler. That was an amazing experience. I have visited Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama (Canal de Panama), Aruba, Jamaica, Belize, Italy, London, Amsterdam, and Spain, just to mention a few. There is so much we can learn when we travel.
