About Wango Wango

I am a development and public health professional with over 14 years of experience delivering impactful programs across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. My core strengths lie in program management, strategic leadership, technical support, systems strengthening, capacity building, community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and fostering public-private partnerships. I’ve successfully managed both US government-funded and philanthropic grants—including Bread for the World and the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation—while working closely with government institutions, development partners, and civil society organizations. My work spans Early Childhood Education, community-based HIV interventions, gender-based violence prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), education, and integrated multi-sectoral livelihood programming. Driven by a passion for health equity and sustainable impact, I focus on building innovative, community-driven solutions that empower vulnerable populations and promote local ownership.
