About Warren Bain

Warren is a Chartered Professional railway engineering manager and designer with over 40 years extensive proven experience in the design and construction of electrification and plant systems. His particular area of expertise is in the Design and Construction of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) in both the UK and overseas. He has worked on some of the most prestigious OLE projects in the UK in recent years including East Coast Main Line, West Coast Main Line and Channel Tunnel Rail Link (High Speed 1). Warren has extensive experience in recruiting, developing and leading design and construction personnel and has major experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams in both the UK and overseas including Poland, Tunisia, Ireland, Holland, Germany, France and Japan. Warren is Network Rail accredited to undertake all aspects of OLE design including Designer, Checker and Approver for Allocation Design and Construction Design, Designer, Checker and Approver for Basic design and has held accreditation for System Design. Warren has acted as CRE for both OLE Design and Construction for numerous projects including Kings Cross Span Wires, Network Rail Campaign Changes, Ayrshire Coast Platform Extensions, Hornsey, Longsight, Edge Hill, Allerton and Oxley Depot works. Acted as CEM for Network Rail Campaign Changes and Prestwick BT relocation and Scotland OLE Reliability works.
