About Warren Smith

I joined Apex (formerly Equinoxe) in 2014 as a member of the ILS team. Prior to that I was at Aon Insurance Managers Bermuda (Aon), where I had worked since 2009 as an Assistant Vice President within the Captive Insurance Management department where I was responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance companies, including ILS. Prior to Aon I worked for Ernst and Young Bermuda as an Audit Senior. In 2007 I qualified as a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and was awarded the Chartered Accountant designation. I graduated from the University of Natal in 2003 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accountancy and In 2004, I graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree, majoring in Accountancy. Became a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2022.
