It demands attention, and when it receives that attention, it will demand further nurturing that fosters growth and evolution. “I have always had a keen interest in the fine detail of things, in their mechanical nature and physical essence, and my first career as a draftsman allowed me to cultivate this passion. I educated myself in the art of airbrushing, devouring books and innovating my own techniques to create my own style. I practiced airbrushing for over a decade and watched as computers became more and more sophisticated, eventually becoming a better option for creating such images.” “I graduated from KVB College in 1991 and I turned my eye toward sandblasted glass art in 1993. I first tried the traditional methods but quickly decided that once again I needed to do things my own way. Utilising masking techniques I had experimented with in my airbrushing, I had an initial success. I excitedly tried to replicate my good fortune but was rewarded with three months of frustration as I failed. My first result was a fluke.” “Still, I knew it could be done, so I refused to yield. Finally, I was able to enjoy some consistency. It would be another three years of refinement and practice before my skill-set had ripened to the point I felt comfortable taking on commissioned work." “My technique is constantly evolving.
