About Wasan Abdullah

As a MACP graduate (2025), I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate complex emotions, transitions, and cultural identities. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert of their own experience. I bring warmth, empathy, and curiosity into the therapeutic space — creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Much of my practicum has focused on working with university students and young adults, particularly those navigating anxiety, identity formation, family dynamics, and the pressures of high achievement. As a second-generation Arab Canadian, I am deeply attuned to the emotional complexities of bicultural identity, intergenerational expectations, and the experience of navigating multiple worldviews. This background has shaped my ability to work compassionately with diverse clients and foster spaces that honor their values, traditions, and lived experiences. I offer counseling in English, French, and Arabic, and I strive to make mental health care more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the communities I serve. With a strong foundation in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and an openness to integrative methods, I aim to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them in fostering growth and self-understanding.
