A certified accountant with a passion for continuous improvement, data analytics, budgeting and forecasting. Over 20 years of accounting experience in both the public and private sector including treasury, fx hedging, fixed assets, rental fleet, leases, inventory, IFRS, & financial statement reporting. A dynamic team leader who believes we should all leave things better than we found them. Maintained my team's FTE headcount at Toromont CAT (16 yrs), Simcoe County (2 yrs) and Serefin (1 yr) by finding ways to increase productivity and efficiency during periods of dynamic growth. This included application enhancements, automation, leveraging excel and ERP functionality. Reduced month-end Financial Statement reporting at Toromont CAT (publicly traded) from 7 days to 2 days and reduced year end internal Rental Fleet Tax reporting from 70 hours to 15 hours by automating processes, pre-year end updates and leveraging Excel (macros). In all my past positions I have created detailed user-friendly documentation of policy and procedures (business practices) that fostered knowledge sharing for growth. This is a key pillar and tool of my mentorship strategy focused on building a resilient team. I understand that as a leader it is not my job to know everything, my job is to bring out the best in myself and those around me to meet the goals of the organization.
