I advise public and private companies in connection with a variety of strategic matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic alliances and other transactional matters. I also work with clients on financings, distress M&A, and general corporate matters. Chambers says this about me: “He's very knowledgeable, has great technical skills, and he's able to explain things in a simple manner.” I was named the 2019 Atlanta Lawyer of the Year for M&A by Best Lawyers/US News & World Report. I assist clients in a broad array of industries, including paper and corrugated, poultry, aviation and aerospace, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, apparel, automotive and service, among others. I have particularly extensive experience representing companies that are based outside the U.S. in connection with their U.S. operations and transactions, as well as advising clients in connection with transactions that span multiple jurisdictions around the globe. In addition, I advise founder- and family-owned businesses in executing on their growth plans, all the way through the eventual sale of the business. Finally, I also advise private equity funds and other financial investors with M&A opportunities. I enjoy learning about clients' businesses and their challenges and opportunities. I look for opportunities to make introductions among people in my network. Prior to attending law school, I worked for Russ Berrie & Co, Inc, where I held several managerial positions. I am a life-long NY Mets fan, a long-suffering NY Jets fan, and a novice (but avid) world football fan, in particular the English Premier League, Serie A, the Eredivisie, Ligue 1,and the Bundesliga, as well as a big fan of Atlanta United FC.
