About Wayne Bradshaw

Wayne is the CEO of WestCycle, the peak body for cycling in Western Australia. WestCycle is responsible for the the development of all facets of bike riding in Western Australia, whether it be casual and recreation bike riding, commuting, riding for fitness, fun and connection or in local events; on the road, track or on trails. WestCycle works with a range of stakeholders including government, national bodies, corporate and the bike riding community to support community engagement and cohesiveness, transport, health, fitness, competition, environmental, facility and infrastructure outcomes. Prior to WestCycle Wayne was the CEO of The Fathering Project. Initially engaged to prepare a business plan for The Fathering Project, Wayne was able to develop plans, programs, funding, research capabilities, stakeholder relationships, governance and financial processes to create a national organisation delivering significant community benefit. The Fathering Project is now a national program attracting support from the Federal Government to deliver a national program. Bradshaw Consulting has undertaken a project with the SportWest to develop online planning tools to assist volunteers to run better clubs and Associations. The Top Club & Top Plan programmes have been undertaken by over 550 clubs in WA to provide sports clubs with operational and strategic plans to develop more effective behaviours, objectives, actions and delegations within the club. Wayne was CEO of the West Australian Football Commission for 10 years and Facilities Manager of Subiaco Oval for 10 years. The WAFC is owner of the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Football Club; leaseholder and manager of Subiaco Oval; responsible for all junior development and competitions including the WAFL. As CEO he led WA football industry which is a highly complex business that incorporates all the elements of a commercial enterprise with the added dimensions of stakeholder management, government relations and media management. Specialties: A broad range of skills have been developed including strategic planning, culture development, people development, finance, business development, facility management, event management, media relations, sponsorship procurement, legal, board management, volunteer engagement and governance.
