About Wayne Burke

Employed by Delfont Mackintosh Theatres for 18 years. I have developed and undertaken a wide range of roles within front of house, box office and hospitality. Previously, I have been the the Maternity Cover for the Front of House Manager at the Prince Edward Theatre, overseeing and developing the Front of House function and maintaining stock control across the theatre. I am now the Theatre Manager at the prestigious Wyndham’s Theatre. I am Now based at The Gielgud Theatre, as Theatre Manager. This has provided me with an extensive range of skills, as well as experience and knowledge of all customer-facing aspects of venue management. Over my years at Delfont Mackintosh Theatres I have a proven tenacity for customer service, building management and team development, including delivering the highest levels of training. I have been afforded the opportunity to gain a varied experience of theatre operations and has also ensured that I have developed an excellent understanding of the travel and tourism trade in London. Aside from my time at DMT, I have developed a well-rounded experience of theatre, as a Producer, Costume Designer and Performer, and I was a Director of cabaret company Caburlesque for 5 years and produced over 30 different shows. I also designed and created their semi-final costumes for Britain's Got Talent. I offer a considered and creative approach to any task and know the necessity of a well-functioning team. I am a reliable and responsible manager who invests in my own development to be able to reach the highest levels of attainment and invest those skills in my teams.
