About Wayne Curry

A strategic, collaborative, agile and driven executive with over 25 years managerial, senior leadership and board membership experience within the human services (with a strong focus on children and young people), disability, mental health, community support services. Wayne has led and managed exceptionally diverse and challenging port folios generating between $12 to $79million in revenue from various funding sources (e.g. State, Federal, NDIS, ACIS) with up to 800 employees. He has had broad responsibilities across strategic and operational directions; business growth and development; change management; mergers/acquisitions; organisational reform and transformation; service innovation; service delivery of up to 2200 clients; quality standards and safeguards; budget, financial and risk management; representing the organisation at senior state and federal government levels and various forums and peak bodies. Wayne‘s extensive experience encompasses 15 years in community support with children and young people and over 12 years in the disability and mental health services sector. He successfully managed a high support induction unit for young people with extensive trauma and challenging backgrounds and became the subject matter expert for ‘at risk’ young people. He was invited to present at various high schools across Sydney Metro and Hunter region, on topics like peer influence, problem solving, empowerment and responsibility in decision making. Wayne successfully led the organisational transformation, operational and workforce reforms to NDIS operating model across NSW, ACT and Townsville to ensure positive, person centred customer experience whilst building the necessary financial safeguards and sustainability; as well as led the acquisition of 5 organisations and implemented workforce and operational realignment into the NDIS blueprint.
