About Wayne de Connick

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who works with individuals, couples and groups. I have experience in the provision of short-term counselling within mandated treatment settings. I also have experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of health-care professionals in settings with third-party payers and multiple stake holders. I employ empirically supported and evidence-based treatment models in order to ensure that my clients receive a quality counselling service. My theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioural; however, I employ an array of psycho-therapeutic techniques drawn from the humanistic, experiential and cognitive-behaviour approaches. I enjoy building authentic relationships with my clients while helping them to examine the meaning that they assign to significant actions and events in their lives.
