An energetic leader with a passion for retail & people. With over 30 years experience in the retail supermarket industry as both a Store Manager (9 years)and Area Manager (20 years). I have a wealth of experience in large format retailing. My competitive nature means I love a challenge and will always take an optimistic view to the most challenging of situations. I believe in collaborative goal setting to attain alignment and engagement within my team. I lead the way with a considered, open and transparent management style that lays the platform for the right working environment for all team. I set myself very high standards with personal discipline and will show great resilience and determination to attain results. Equally, I expect similar from my team, I work closely with them to monitor and support their performance and that of their teams to ensure our goals and targets are met. My current role has me based in the Hawke's Bay with my young family, although regular one up reliefs to cover Operations Managers roles has seen me become more flexible with my work location. I'm challenged in my current role and enjoy with the diversity it provides. However, I'm always looking to improve and I'm open to new exciting opportunities.
