About Wayne Knaggs

From a rural childhood without electricity to being accountable for Cloud operations, my journey has not been a straight line. With Adastra, I have radically changed careers at least four times; today my global team ensures that the digital backbone of your business runs optimally, and securely. In 1994 while performing a materials handling study as an Industrial Engineer, a conversation with a plant manager launched my IT career. That resulted in my exit from the manufacturing industry, and joining a project team where we would be accountable for implementing the South African Navy’s first operational and logistic information system. I was a major contributor to our systems implementation and change management projects, driving successful adoption nationally. Within 8 years, I was living in Canada and had obtained my second degree majoring in Computer Science and Operations Research. In over a decade, my diverse professional highlights with Adastra include: Business Systems Analysis; predominantly within the Financial Services Sector, regulatory and finance reporting systems. Data Integration Design; with expertise integrating complex business requirements into Industry Data models, and business-critical data processes. Data Governance; organizational capability establishment, driving the operationalization of core disciplines: Data Quality Management, Reference and Master Data Management, and Metadata Management. Business Consulting; contributor to our Enterprise Information Management (EIM) Assessments delivering a business and data governance perspective Account & Relationship Management; key accounts included The Bank of Montreal and The Ontario Securities Commission Now, I passionately lead our global operations group, creating a culture of high performance and defining our path for growth. I provide an environment that motivates and guides the development of advanced skills ensuring that we remain on top of rapid technology advancements in the Cloud space - especially Cloud cost management. I instill a collective focus on quality of service while meeting global and industry compliance standards.
