About Wayne Parcell

Rather than talking about my past, I would rather talk about the future and the social, cultural and economic impact that will come with The Rangebow Festival: With a team of exceptional people, we delivered on our purpose of a unique community event - The Rangebow Festival - for four days in August each year - celebrating the creative life and spirit of everyone in The Range communities of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with a focus on diversity, inclusiveness, sustainability and reconciliation. Planning is now underway for the festival for 1-4 August 2024. I draw upon my work and life experiences that brought me here: • To value the rich contribution brought to communities by individuals of diverse backgrounds, personality, life experiences and beliefs • To improve wellbeing through increased awareness by communities of individuals as valuable members of the community • To promote better understanding of how we can meet our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs • To empower respectful conversation, listening, discussion and interaction for unification and healing with the traditional custodians of the country on which we live and work
