About Wayne Pegram

I’ve worked for 40 years, and achieved many successes across the breadth of my career. I started my post- undergrad life as a Deputy Clerk of the North Carolina Supreme Court, with a side gig as a musician (I play piano) and teacher. A couple years later I relocated to Atlanta and launched what would become many successful years as a leader and achiever in product development, marketing and advertising. This part of my career spanned a variety of businesses and industries — from multinational companies to start-ups, in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, e-commerce, insurance and retail. I excelled at leadership, communication, organization and motivation, and had several big accomplishments along the way. Then in 2014, while pursuing other opportunities, I found myself at a Home Depot starting on my way to an Assistant Store Manager. Tens years later, here I am having left Home Depot, contemplating partial retirement, but wanting to stay in the game. I’ve had a wonderful career, learning new things and meeting great people. As I contemplate my next phase, I’m keen to find an opportunity that leverages my extensive work experience and knowledge, while also acknowledging the fact that I want a good balance with my personal life. My perfect job would be working from home writing, editing, proofreading and transcribing. I’ve always had a strong passion for writing, and used it as a tool to drive success throughout my career. Of course, I’m open to any exciting opportunity, but know now that happiness and enjoyment must take priority over advancement, compensation and work stress!
