About Wayne Plummer

With over 37 years’ experience to date in the Australian tax industry, I have been recognized as a leading corporate tax adviser. During that time, I have worked on a number of Australia’s most iconic corporate transactions and have been a key tax adviser to many leading Australian and international groups. I have deep tax technical expertise, particularly in the areas of capital management, public company M&A, tax consolidation and airline industry taxation. I have authored a number of technical articles and provided many presentations at industry and technical forums. I have had extensive and well-respected interactions with the Australian Taxation Office, including both client and industry representations, investigations, and advocacy. I was heavily involved in developing (with the ATO and ‘Big 4 Firms’) the Australian Tax Advisory Firm Governance – Best Practice Principles. I was recognized in 2014 by the Taxation Institute as Australia’s best tax adviser; am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
