Retired with 25 years of service with the New Jersey Department of Corrections, serving since 1989. My final posting was as Security Major at New Jersey State Prison, Trenton.(Third in command, equivalent to Correctional Security Chief in Maryland DOC for example) My previous posting was Security Major at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ. Previous title: Correction Lieutenant. Last posting in that grade was as Unit A Shift Commander at New Jersey State Prison, Trenton. Actively sought out all of the available Emergency Management Training that was available and successfully completed almost all of the course offerings at NJ Office of Emergency Management. Very active in historical research and writing, one subject of which is the prison system in New Jersey and the discovery and documentation of Officers who died in the line of duty in years past who have not as yet been recorded on national and state Law Enforcement Memorials. Strong personal interest in the history of New Jersey State Prison and the discovery, documentation and publication of same. For the last several years I have been immersed in researching the Old West, with one historical book project underway, a novel underway as well, and numerous magazine articles researched and in my writing que.
