Hi, I’m Wayne Szafranski, Director of Business Development at Gateway Research Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Gateway Research Park is located on two 75-acre campuses within minutes of downtown Greensboro and two public universities: North Carolina A&T and UNC Greensboro. We share the Gateway South campus with the NC A&T/UNC-G Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) with over 15 outstanding science and engineering faculty and about 110 graduate students all housed in a ft2 state-of-the-art lab and research center that includes biological and electronics clean rooms among other highly advanced tools and equipment. If you need physical material testing or chemical characterization, then the Gateway Materials Test Center (ISO 17025 certified) is your answer. Instruments and tools include Electron Microscopy (TEM, SEM, Helium Ion), Optical Microscopy (Confocal, Raman, XRD), Analytical Lab Suite, and a Metrology Lab Suite. For organizations that prefer to conduct their own tests and analyses, Gateway Research Park and the JSNN offer membership in the Nanomanufacturing Innovation Consortium (NIC). Joining the NIC is easy and allows members to perform testing at our facility for an annual fee.
