Wayne K. Taylor, Senior Engineer, has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa, Thesis in Diamond Drilling, with honors noted as Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and Pi Epsilon Tau, Petroleum Engineering Honor Fraternity. Initial employment was with Texaco Inc as a field engineer in northwestern Oklahoma, promoted to reservoir staff in Tulsa Division. Left Texaco to accept a position with Cotton Petroleum Corporation becoming Division Engineer with a staff of seven engineers, three support positions, and 22 area level personnel managing a drilling program with 24 daywork rigs and operations of 550 Anadarko and Arkoma basin wells. Upon the acquisition of Cotton, Mr. Taylor then worked for other Tulsa based independent oil companies, eventually becoming Vice President of Drilling and Engineering for Zenergy Inc (formerly Zinke & Trumbo, Inc) responsible for drilling and completion of wells from Florida to North Dakota, including Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming, wells in excess of feet depth, HTHP, and high H2S. Instigated major change in mud systems utilized in the gulf coast onshore wells and the use of horizontal laterals in the Mid-Continent. He left Zenergy to serve for a year as Vice President of Drill Right Technology in Oklahoma City which is a horizontal and directional drilling service company before joining EXACT Engineering as an engineering consultant. In summary: forty years of petroleum engineering experience, extensive drilling exposure from planning to optimization; directional drilling; downhole motors and MWD tools and service; prospect evaluations coordinated with geologic, land and management groups; completions and production - primary, secondary, and tertiary; reservoir evaluation and reserves booking; gas storage operations; pipeline construction and operations; and acquisitions.
