Airside Operations experience with primary focus in FAR Part 139 airfield operations. Responsible for daily and nightly airfield inspections which includes the following: Runway and taxiway pavement conditions, runway and taxiway safety areas, airfield markings, airfield lighting, wildlife hazard management, NOTAMS, construction activities, management of obstructions under Part 77, perimeter fencing under Part 1542, fueling operations, and ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Firefighting)Supervise airside operations personnel on duty and approve timecards. Provide ideas for goal setting and approve quarterly evaluations for staff. Selected by the manager of airside operations to sit on several interview panels to help in employing future staff members. Engage with staff regularly and assist with training all new hires.Currently overlook ARFF at SAN and coordinate directly with the ARFF program manager to ensure all personnel are trained in all 11 subjects, ensure annual hot drills are completed, and confirm that all ARFF personnel are trained within 12 consecutive calendar months mandated by the FAA.First responder to all airfield emergencies and responsible for coordinating directly with ARFF, Harbor Police, Airport Communications Center, airport maintenance, airport environmental, County Hazmat, and other agencies depending on the emergency.Assist airport terminal operations coordinators as needed with fire alarm response, security issues, trip and falls, and issuing notices of violation. Coordinate directly with TSA, airline stakeholders, airport maintenance, San Diego Fire Department, MAST, and other agencies as needed.Operate the Amadeus gate management system by assigning common use gates and RON (Remain Overnight) positions. Enter tow plans and build turns for all airlines. Assign ramp space to charter flights as needed. Close jet bridge gates to support preventative maintenance operations and assist airlines with alternate gate usage depending on weather, aircraft maintenance, and irregular operations. Provide gate management customer service to all airlines.
