About Wayne Tripp

For over 25 some years, students from across America have been laughing and learning during my classes and seminars. Learning to fly at age 22, I hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, single and multi-engine commercial and Advanced Ground and Flight Instructor certificates with Instrument Instructor privileges. I hold professional degrees that cover psychology, education and aviation science as well as advanced certifications in counseling. As a professional aviator I have logged over hours of incident and accident free flight time in general aviation, instruction, corporate, charter, FAR Parts 91, 135, 141 and 121 operations in over 25 different single and multi-engine aircraft. Currently I am a professor and flight instructor at Liberty University’s School of Aeronautics. I have held academic appointments at Arizona State University Polytechnic, Lehigh Carbon County College, Daniel Webster College and the New Hampshire Technical Institute teaching over 40 courses including aviation meteorology; private, commercial, and instrument ground schools, aircraft engines and power plants, aircraft operating economics, aircraft rescue and firefighting, high altitude physiology, psychology, aviation law, human factors, national aviation policy, aerodynamics, and a variety of counseling related courses. I have been an assistant chief instructor, flight safety officer, and an instructor in aerospace physiology/psychology with a high altitude chamber program. I am a Microsoft Certified Professional and have network engineering, website design, and A+ experience. I have developed a variety of curricula, numerous ground and flight training resources, a vendor marketing program for the Paris Airshow, and developed and operated a large southwest regional aviation exposition two years standing. I continue to work toward additional training, knowledge and experience in the field of aeronautics.
