I am a very motivated experienced professional with twenty-three years of healthcare leadership experience across multiple sectors (Public Health, Acute Care, Primary Care, and Long-Term Care). I am currently enrolled in the Master of Science program in Infection Control at the University of Essex (UK) with a graduation date of 2025. In 2022 I successfully obtained two international certifications for infection control (LTC-CIP and CIC). Prior to completing these certifications, I completed several infection control courses including the course at Queen’s University. I graduated with my Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology program in 2021. I have been working at West End Villa in the position of Infection Prevention and Control Manager since June 2022. As a person who thrives in high-pressure and fast-paced situations, I strive for positive results through the application of my leadership and strategic planning abilities. Additionally, I possess operational planning skills and an aptitude for optimizing high-quality performance. I can visualize success and identify and implement innovative approaches for services and programs, in both the short term and the long term. My leadership, critical, and creative thinking strengths have enabled me to adjust to the changing healthcare environment over the years. There are many challenges in being a leader such as financial, staffing, delivering high-quality programs and services, and planning for the future. The diversity of my management background has been asset in my professional career.
