About Wayne W Oconnor

Over the last 9 years I have specialized in two industries. From 2005 to 2014, in sales for the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry in premium-branded soft drinks and confectionery; and from 2014 in Customer Services and Complaints in the Energy Sector. Since 2014, I have been employed in Customer Services at Utility Warehouse; a multi-service utility company in the Energy industry, which specializes in providing household utilities, including broadband internet, electricity, gas, mobile and telephone services and, more recently, household insurance. Utility Warehouse is a nationwide company with approximately 100 employees and a consumer base of customers. It has four areas of business, namely: Energy & Non-Energy, Partner & Sales, Tech, with back-office administration. Since entering the utility market, Utility Warehouse has gone on to win several awards in the utilities industry, including ‘Which Utilities Brand of the Year (2020)’, ‘Uswitch Energy Awards (2021)’, ‘Utilities Brand of the Year (2018)’, and the ‘Moneywise 2018’ winner. Over the course of my career at Utility Warehouse, I have held five positions at Utility Warehouse, including- Customer Services Representative (Energy)- Customer Services Specialist (Electrical Siteworks Department)- Energy Customer Services (Pre-Payment)- Customer Services Specialist (Home Movers Team)- Since 2017, I am Utility Warehouse’s ‘Home-Movers Escalation Advisor’ – the only position at the company. Furthermore, I've acted as the Deputy Team Leader to the Escalations Department, trained & constructed the onboarding process for new employees in the Escalations Department. In my previous role in the FMCG market, I held senior sales and account manager positions at Epoipo Ltd and Clooci Ltd (2005 to 2014)- companies that specialized in the sale of soft drinks and film memorabilia-related limited edition products.
