About Wayne Wagner

I’m a Enterprise Data Architect with a very diverse background. I’ve worn many hats throughout my career, worked with multiple business units to complete projects, and leveraged a knowledge of data, its source, its movement, its transformation, and lineage across the complete business life cycle to support clients in various sectors. I focus on solutions engineering, digital transformation, BI analytics, big data processing, and data warehousing solutions. Basically, I’m that “point of resolution,” translating business requirements for technology teams to understand, build, and deliver within strict budgets and timelines. A few accomplishments I’m proud of include: Positioned The Hartford organization to support data analytics for modeling, risk analysis, and business metrics (Enterprise and LOB) by creating a domain framework for a Data Lake on a Big Data platform. Saved $50M in capital requirements by restructuring program deliverables (in a $70M project) to other strategic initiatives by extending current support agreements for Henry Ford Health System at CSC. Established the vision and approach to leverage business intelligence and SOA based transactional data sharing and Book of Record domain data repositories for Cigna at Darwin Partners. Led five architects to design an Active Corporate Data Warehouse with a hybrid structure (entity/relational and dimensional) and real-time data bus staging for Blue Cross Blue Shield at Syszen Technologies. Merged 12 independent European subsidiaries into a centralized European data center which reduced IT costs from 5% to ½% of sales at Burndy Corporation.
