I'm transitioning into cybersecurity after 8+ years in operations management, where I led teams of 40+ associates and managed facility security operations. I'm combining that leadership foundation with growing technical skills to pursue entry-level security analyst or SOC analyst roles. Current Focus: I'm actively building hands-on experience through Hack The Box labs, home lab practice, and an internship with Arcanum (editing course content for Jason Haddix's Bug Hunter's Methodology). I hold CEH and Security+ certifications and I'm pursuing my AA in Cybersecurity at St. Petersburg College (expected 2026). Technical Practice: Working with tools like Burp Suite, Caido, Nmap, and Metasploit in lab environments. Practicing reconnaissance, web application testing, and vulnerability identification through structured training modules. Community Involvement: Active in the security community through volunteering at BSides St. Petersburg, attending DefCon 2025 with Arcanum, and participating in ISC2 conferences (invited by BSides Tampa organizer). I'm committed to learning, contributing, and connecting with others in the field. I'm looking for junior security analyst or SOC analyst opportunities where I can apply my operational experience and continue developing technical expertise in a team environment.
