About Wei Lei
I am a sound engineer & professional teacher from Beijing, China, and a permanent resident of Australia. I have over 20 years of work, teaching and learning experience in sound engineering and audio recording. I hold a doctorate in radio and television sound arts from the Communication University of China (CUC) and have been a lecturer and associate professor there since 2005. In 2017, I was hired by SunPAC, a performing arts center located in Sunnybank, QLD, as an audio operator/venue supervisor, and was charge of the installation, testing and operation of the audio system in the venue for many events. In 2018, I was hired by the Gold Coast Conversation & Exhibition Centre as a full-time AV Technician and took part in installation, packing down and Operation of various events there. My skills and degrees as a sound engineer and university lecturer have been validated by Engineers Australia and VETASSESS and I am a certified user of Pro Tools 11 by Avid.
