About Wen Wei

I am a seasoned technology development executive with 25 years of innovation-based engineering and technology management at Intel. I have deep experience building and managing global teams that overcome technical challenges and deliver results. I’ve led high-stakes collaborations across complex global supply chains and have cultivated strong connections across the APAC microelectronics ecosystem. During a 10-year expat assignment in China, I played a key role in establishing Intel’s largest overseas R&D center, with 2500 employees. I created a robust system development team that enabled the growth of Intel’s laptop business. I designed turnkey solutions that enabled local OEMs in China to sell millions of Intel tablet PC’s When I returned to Portland, I joined Intel’s Perceptual Computing Group to lead reference product development using Intel RealSense solutions. My efforts enabled advanced 3D camera, 6DOF and sensor technologies that support a broad range of innovative applications, creating new paths for communication. I build collaborative cultures where team members develop world-class mindsets; where they are not afraid to take measured risks, and where they are capable of learning from failures. I am passionate about driving innovation to make impossible things happen, and of motivating team members to optimize their individual potential. I firmly believe the next 10 years will be a new era of communication on earth that will impact how future generations live and interact.
