Originally from Singapore, he possesses a Bachelor in Computer Engineering (Hons) and a Masters in Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with the support of National Arts Council (Singapore) Postgraduate Arts Scholarship. He was the Principal Accompanist of the School of the Arts, Singapore and has accompanied dance companies all over the world. He has also created scores and collaborated in various works performed by major dance companies in Singapore, including Flux Of Time, a collaboration with Frontier Danceland involving live acoustic manipulation on traditional Chinese instruments which has toured internationally and shared a stage at the Batsheva Theatre with the Batsheva Company; and Loop Theory, an interactive dance-theatre performance involving motion tracking to generate music in real-time.
