About Wendi King

I am currently a transitions Special Education teacher for MoCi (moderately cognitively impaired) adults in the SAIL program in Mason. I transitioned here from teaching teenage students at Heartwood school in Mason, MI.I am also the CSR and a Producer for the Eric King Insurance Agency representing Meemic! In January 2019 I will be as licensed P&C insurance agent. Prior to this I was the Director of Special Education at Mid Michigan Leadership Academy with Sabis International. In fall of 2012, I held the position of the Chief Academic Officer at Learn Live Lead Entrepreneurial Academy where my responsibilities included, but were not limited to, curriculum implementation, student discipline, special education coordination and staff management. My greatest joy in this job was watching the amazing academic, social, and behavioral development of the students. This school closed in June of 2013.Prior to this I was a motivated and caring special education teacher at Lansing School District from fall of 1990 to fall of 2012 where I taught, trained and inspired Cognitively Impaired SE students at Lansing STEM Academy (formally Dwight Rich Middle School) to excel beyond their expected capabilities.
